• bu akşam babylonda gerçekleşmiş ve ağızlarımızda kekre bir tat bırakmış güzel konserin solisti. bu ablam kuzey norveçten kalkmış buralar gelmiş, kullandıkları lisanla türkçenin kardeş olduğunu idda etmesi hoş ve ilginç bir ambianstı örneklerde verdi mesela yaz'a jas, büyük'e boyjuk diyorlarmış gibi.
  dansları ve renkli fularları ile süslediği müziği gerçeten güzel, hafif kızılderili müziğini çağrıştırıyor ve newage diyebilirz sanırım.
• samiler tarafından ırklarının en önemli temsilcilerinden biri olarak görülen, norveçli lapon müzisyen. tam adı mari boine persen olan, norveç'in en kuzeyinde büyüyen sanatçı, kendi kültürel kimliğini bulmakta zorlandığını ve başta okulda öğretilenlerin etkisiyle kendi ırkından utandığını, hatta nefret ettiğini söylemiştir. marie boine zaman zaman norveç başbakanı ile de polemiklere girmiş ve başbakandan kendi insanlarından özür dilemesini de istemiştir. 1994 yılındaki lillehammer’deki kış olimpiyatlarının açılış töreninde yer almayı da reddetmiştir. ondan bir alıntı ile bitirelim.
  "i think your voice is a mirror of your soul and how you feel inside. when i began i was singing pop songs and ballads and didn't sing from the heart. over the last ten years i've been fighting this feeling of being inferior to norwegian or western people and my voice got stronger as i decided i wouldn't let anyone oppress me and that i have a value as sami. western culture makes a distance between you and your body or heart. in sami culture you think of everything as a whole."
