• sophie b hawkins isimli sanatçının pek tanınmamış whaler adlı albümünden, pek tanınmış parçası. bir ara mtv'yi günde 15 dakikalığına bile açmış olanlar hatırlayacaklardır: videosunda sofi (sallamıyor isem) tipik bir amerikan evi verandasında geziniyor, salıncaklı koltukta oturup romantik oluyor idi. yerlerde sürünüp, dizlerinin üstünde emeklediği ve kendini paraladığı damn i wish i was your lover parçası ve videosundan gerek konu, gerekse görsel malzeme olarak epey farklı, ki bunların dışında kayda değer bir eseri de yoktur.
  
  şarkıda ise, sophie uzaklarda olan birisini özlemekte, gece yatmadan uykudan önce ritüeli gibi onu düşünmekte, gün saymaktadır, bu esnada bekleyin ben de sizin gibi bekleyenlerdenim temalı bu şarkıyı besteleyip söyler.

  akıcı, sıcacık bir beste, sophie'nin konuşur gibi içten vokali, hüzün mü yoksa neşe mi verildiğinin anlaşılamaması, nakarattaki "parappappa" vokalleri..her şeyi ile tarifi imkansız bir şarkı. hiç de eskimiyor.
