  in terms of french cinema, you can’t get much better than filmmaker arnaud desplechin. the man behind features such as “the sentinel,” “my golden days,” and “ısmael’s ghosts” consistently brings something new to each film, often switching genres between films. so, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that, coming off of a crime drama and a philip roth adaptation, desplechin is venturing into the realm of family drama for “brother and sister.”
