• bu albumu dinleyip de bu adamların isminin neden megadeth, anthrax, metallica, testament v.b gruplarla aynı seviyeye gelmediğini anlamak mümkün değil. anthraxtan daha iyi bir vokale, megadethten bile daha iyi gitariste, metallicadan daha iyi bestelere sahiplerdi^*. demek ki ilk albümde çıtayı bu kadar yüksek koymayacaksın.

• vokalist bu şarkıda çığlık çığlığa -ciddi manada- coşuyor.tüm zamanların en iyi thrash albümlerinden biri. ayrıca (bkz: metalshock)
• çok fazla thrash metal seven bir insan olmamama rağmen her zaman arada açıp zevkle dinlediğim bir flotsam and jetsam eseri. adamlar hakkındaki bilgim bu albüm dışında sıfır zaten. ama bu da nasıl bir albüm arkadaş? baştan sona newsted^* eseri.
• bu albümün en şaşırtıcı yanı olgunluğudur. ne metallica, ne de slayer bu olgunluğu 3., belki 4. albümlerine kadar yakalayamadılar.
  
  bunda flotsam & jetsam'ın thrash sahnesine diğerlerinden geç çıkışının etkisi var mıdır?.. belki. nitekim diğer grupların olgunluk eserlerini vermeleri de yine bu albümün çıktığı 1986-1987 dönemine rastlar.
  
  fakat hangi açıdan bakarsak bakalım, (üstelik komik sayılabilecek bir bütçe ile kotarılmış) bir ilk albüm için ziyadesiyle iyi bestelenmiş, iyi icra edilmiş, yapım kalitesi yüksektir.
  
  hangi liste yapılırsa yapılsın, kim yaparsa yapsın, türün tarihinin en önemli ilk 5 albümü arasında adı mutlaka anılmalıdır.
