• doğruluk serumu. supper albümünden 7:28'lik bir smog şarkısı.. gerçi sekiz senelik gecikmeyle gelen bir keşif benim için -o kadar da smogseveriz- amma yine de bi paylaşmak lazım.
  
  süpper bir hikaye anlatılıyor şarkıda. çok temiz. kendisi de, anlatılışı da. bill callahan aslında nadiren bu kadar göze parmak hikaye anlatıyor, ama o zaman bile başarılı. zaten kendisinin geçenlerde bir "mektup roman^*"ı çıktı, bilen bilmeyene: letters to emma bowlcut. bu şarkıda da hem anlatması zevkli olduğu için, hem de ingilizce bilmeyenler için söyleyeceğim^*, şöyle bir hikaye anlatılmış: bir grup arkadaş, işte bu sodyum pentothal'den içiyorlar sonra hemen "ne yaptık be biz?" diyip evin dört bir yanına dağılıp birbirlerinden uzaklaşıyorlar. bizim herif çatıya çıkıyor, ama sevdiceği (..ya da onun soruları!) bunu takip ediyor. diyor ki "özlüyor musun beni" o da işte "ya ben seni seviyom ya aşkım, yetmez mi" filan diyor, kız da "e peki o zaman aşk nedir sevgi nedir?" diyince muhabbet uzuyor. bizimki aşağı iniyor, bakıyor big bruiser ken adlı (erkeksi olduğunu düşündüğümüz) arkadaşı diyor ki "ben hemcinslerime ilgi duyuyorum", bizimki "ortalık karışmış" diyip yine çatıya çıkıyor. bu sefer kız "peki ölüm gerçekten yolun sonu mu?" diyince bizimki yine aynı cevabı veriyor, kız da "peki hayat nedir diyor, what is life?", bizimki de şarkıyı hatırlayıp nakaratını mırıldanmaya başlıyor, ".. without you by my side ..".
