  beersheba hastanesi'nin beyin cerrahı eitan green, yorucu bir gece mesaisinin ardından evine gitmek yerine adeta bir güç ve konfor simgesi olan kırmızı suv'unu test etmeye karar verir. ıssız necef yolunda hız yaparken bir kaza olur ve eitan, çölün üstüne doğan büyüleyici güzellikteki ay'a baktığı saniyeler içerisinde bir adama çarpar. büyük ihtimalle ölümüne neden olduğu adam kaçak bir göçmen, bir eritrelidir. panik içerisinde olay yerinden kaçar. bu büyük sırrı tek başına saklayabileceğini, hayatını hiçbir şey olmamış gibi sürdürebileceğini umut ederek evine, iki oğlunun ve karısının yanına döner. ancak ertesi sabah kapısında beliren eritreli kadın, hayatını sonsuza dek değiştirecektir. eitan kadının sırrını saklamak için paradan daha fazlasını istediğini anladığında kendini beklediğinden daha karmaşık bir planın içerisinde bulur. artık sahip olduğu her şey, evliliği, bu büyülü siyahi kadının avucunun içindedir.
