    improved combat style (ex): drizzt has chosen two-weapon style. he acts as if he has the two-weapon fighting and improved two-weapon fighting feats when in light or no armor.

    slashing blades (ex): drizzt treats the scimitar as a light weapon rather than a one-handed weapon.

    trapfinding: drizzt can use the search skill to locate traps when the task has a dc higher than 20.

    wild empathy (ex): drizzt can use body language, vocalizations, and demeanor to improve the attitude of an animal (such as a bear or a monitor lizard). this ability functions just like a diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person. his bonus on the check is +10. the typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. drizzt and the animal must study each other for 1 minute. this ability can also be used to influence a magical beast with an intelligence score of 1 or 2, but he takes a -4 penalty on the check.

  • r a salvatore'un yarattığı kara elf kahraman. yaptığı tespitler öyle güzel ki, gözünün önünde duran gerçekleri en yalın bir biçimde kafana sokuyor. hayatı daha iyi nasıl yaşarsınla ilgili güzel öğretiler veriyor. evliya gibi vesselam. örnek vermek isterim:

    "trajediyi bir şakayla dağıtmak, kimsenin suçlanamayacağı bir olay için suça gömülerek yaşamaktan daha gülünç değil."
    "pek çok ırka ahenk getiren şey korku değil merhamettir. müşterek hedeflere giden yolda mükemmele ulaşmak da ahenkten geçer."(chaotic diye nitelendiren kahramanın sözü bu. ironi?)

    kısacası büyüleyici bir kahraman. hem düşünceleriyle hem de yetenekleriyle.
  • forgotten realms aleminin supermeni; içerden zayıf, dışardan taş gibi.
  • gerçekten fantastik edebiyat içerisindeki en mükemmel, en güzel, en zevkli karakterlerden birisi. lakin "drizzt" ne lan? cozurt, çotanak falan koysalarmış amına koyim.
  • şans zarını sürekli 100 atan iyi kalpli drow. kendisi oldukça ballıdır anlayacağınız.
  • r. a. salvatore ilk basılı romanı olacak olan the crystal shard'ı yaratırken, kitapla ilgili kritik bir toplantıya giden editöründen gelen bir telefonla kendisinden acilen wulfgar'a yoldaş olacak bir karakter yaratması istenir. salvatore düşünmek için zaman istese de editörün hiç vakti yoktur. salvatore o anda aklına gelen bir fikirle "bir drow!" der. sadece geçici bir yan karakter olacağını söyleyerek editörünü ikna eder ve karakterin ismi sorulduğunda ağzından drizzt do'urden ismi çıkıverir. editörü "ismi kodlayabilir misin?" diye sorar, cevap kısa ve nettir: "imkanı yok!"

    böylece doğar modern fantastik kurgu edebiyatının ikon karakterlerinden biri olan drizzt.

  • son kitabı gauntlgrym piyasaya çıkmıştır. bu romanda kendisine bruenor battlehammer, jarlaxle ve athrogate eşlik etmektedir. iki drow, iki dwarf. pek tabi ki romanın geçtiği zamanda wulfgar, cattie-brie, artemis gibi insan karakterler çoktan sizlere ömür olmuştur.
  • hikayelerini okumaktan büyük zevk aldığım karakter. her ne kadar hikayesi seriler arasında bakıldığında tutarsız kalsa da yine hevesle okunuyor.
