  hep kathleen'in mektubunun daha vurucu olabileceğini düşünmüşümdür. tabii, fitzgerald romanı bitirecek zaman bulabilseydi senaryonun o kısmını daha da geliştirebilirdi. yine de, kitabın pat diye durması çok etkileyici bence. yani fitzgerald gibi bir devin son romanını okuyorsunuz ve en olmayacak yerde kesiliyor tüm hikaye. karakter kazandıran hüzünlü bir durum. edmund wilson'un yaptığı yorumlardan ve eklediği belgelerden sonunda ne olacağını anlayabiliyoruz. tüm entry bu son varsayımına ve fitzgerald'ın geçmiş karakterlerinin sonlarına dayanıyor aslında. olması gereken gibi duruyor hem.
