  previously chandrasekher was vice president and general manager of the mobile platforms group since 2001. chandrasekher led the team responsible for architecture, design, development and marketing of intel's platforms solutions for the mobile computing segment. his responsibilities include strategic direction, platform planning and business management of intel® centrino™ mobile technology, the company's premier technology for mobile pcs. he was promoted to intel corporate vice president in 2003.
  
  prior to his mobile platforms group role, chandrasekher was vice president of the intel architecture group and general manager of the intel architecture marketing group, where he led strategic planning and marketing activities for intel's enterprise, mobile and desktop platform products. in 1997 chandrasekher formed intel's workstation platform group and was its general manager through 1999. from 1995 to 1997 he served as technical assistant to craig barrett, current intel ceo.
  
  chandrasekher earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in engineering from cornell university. he received an mba from cornell's johnson graduate school of management. chandrasekher remains an active supporter of cornell's programs and of the america india foundation."
