• h p lovecraft hayranligi nedeniyle kendini azagthoth olarak isimlendirmektedir. morbid angel icin yazdigi pek cok parcada da bu etkilenmenin izleri gorulebilmektedir: 'abominations of disease' demo albumundeki 'angel of disease' (shub niggurath'a ithafen), 'blessed are the sick' albumundeki (1991) 'the ancient ones' ve 'formulas fatal to the flesh' albumundeki (1998) neredeyse tum parcalar.. bu albumdeki parcalarin cogu, bilinmez, eski bir dilde soylenmis ve ingilizce tercumeleri ayrica verilmistir. 'most high triunvirate of the living continuum' undan birkac soz:
