  son cümle süper. bir teselli cümlesi. ilginç şekilde de katil kendi istediğiyle yakalanıyor. seri katillerin yüksek iqlu psikopatlar olması ve onu yakalayabilmek için ondan daha iyi olmanız gerektiği ve bu gibi insanların polis teşkilatında az olması her şeyi açıklar sanırım.
  
  filmde ilginç bir noktaysa brad pitt'in somerset'in tersine entelektüel olmadığı fakat bunu anlamak için ingilizce versiyonunu dinlemek lazım. devamlı argo konuşan, her şeyi basit yorumlayan, basit yaşamı olan bir adam aslında. bir sahnede şöyle diyor :
  "-kaçığın biri bir cinayet işlesin diye niye bekliyoruz? niye dışarıda değiliz?"
  
  filmin kendine eleştirisi de bu belki. dışarıda gezerek seri katil yakalamak.
  
  somerset ise evlenmemiş, kontrollü bir nevrotik. uyumak için metronoma ihtiyaç duyuyor ve katil hakkında delillerin çoğunu da toplayan yine kendisi. seri katil için ne diyor? "ona kaçık demen yanlış, bu hatayı yapma!"
  brad pitt(mills): hadi delinin teki o. şu anda heralde büyük annesinin donunu giymiş dans ediyordur.
