• horoskop (astrolojik harita) her ne kadar gezegen konumlarıyla çıkarılsa da, öngörüde bulunmak için yapılan hesaplamalar eşliğinde, gezegenlerin kendi konumları sayesinde haritada yer alan ve ciddi önem arz eden noktalardır.
  ilk yüzyılda helenistik astrologlar tarafından incelenen bu konumlar, babil, eski mısır bölgesindeki astrologlar tarafından detaylı olarak ele alındığından arap noktaları olarak ismi almıştır.
  
  en altta gördüğünüz liste; her bir arap noktasının etki alanını ve arap noktası hesaplama formülünü veriyor.
  
  ilgili arap noktası hesaplanarak bulunduktan sonra, sağlıklı bir öngörüde bulunmak için, sadece hangi burçta olduğu değil, kaçıncı evde bulunduğu, bulunduğu evin yönetici gezegeni ve diğer gezegenlerle görünümü değerlendirilmelidir.
