• 13-14 nisan 2001 tarihinde gerçekleşen büyük hadise.zaten saygımızın büyük olduğu efsaneyi yakından izlemek büyük bir şanstı.yapılan tiyatral şovla büyülenmenin sınırlarını zorlamıştık bunda "andy la rocque"nun bir kaç metre önümüzde bizi gaza getirmesinin de payı büyüktü.playlist aklımda kaldığı kadarıyla şöyledir:

• hala unutamadigim, o sesleri nereden cikarabildigine hala anlam veremedigim $ahsin konseri.
• konser sonunda iki kişinin birbirine sarılarak, king diamondı canlı olarak seyrettikleri için ağladığını gördüğüm hadise.(bkz: aglamiyorum gozume bir sey kacti)
• iki gün üstüste hayatımın en iyi şovunu izlemiştim o konserlerde. 13'ündeki konser birde cumaya denk geliyorduki sormayın.
  
  ayrıca sahnedeki ablada bizi bir çok şekilde mest etmiştir. özellikle kemanın yandığı dakikada (orada olanlar iyi bilir)

• kitleyi gaza getirmek için sentenced'dan noose çalındığında ufak bir izdiham yaşanan konserdi. sıcaktan dolayı sahneden serpilen sularla serinlemeye çalışan birkaçyüz kişi bir anda kolkola girip, halay benzeri hareketlerle headbang yaparken yerler hala ıslak olduğu için ayakta durmakta biraz zorlandılar. konser sırasında kenardaki yüksek kısımlara çıkıp çıkıp dinleyicilerin üzerine atlayan bir vatan evladı, herkes kenara çekildiğinde az daha kafasını kırıyordu...
• tadı hala daha damağımızda olan konser. gidenlerin, memlekette görülmüş en başarılı şovlardan birini izlediği, gitmeyenlerin de kafalarını dağlara taşlara vurması gereken konserdir. yüce rabbime bin şükürler olsun ki, bu konserlerde görevli olmuş ve king diamond ve ekibi ile tanışma ve fotoğraf çektirme şerefine nail oldum.
• hayatimda kesinlikle unutamayacagim,konser mekaninin adi (sold out) yuzunden bir kac arkadasin mahrum kaldigi mukemmel organizasyon
• konserle ilgili birkaç ayrıntıyı da king diamond & mercyful fate menajeri ole bangten dinleyelim;
  
  show day 20. turkey - istanbul ( sold out concert hall)
  
  the name of the club has nothing to do with the fact that it was not a sold out show. we had negotiated to do 2 shows there in order to accommodate both promoter and the fans, with a 1st show ( today ) for over 18yrs old fans ( probably legal drinking age ) and a show on saturday for all ages. we haven’t been to turkey before and were expecting something like brazil. in essense; crazy fans in a country where everything is a bit different from regular european / american conditions. indeed we were right, all worked out fine – the truck had been un-loaded the night before, and after a couple of hours re-arranging the lights, and bringing more pa into the club, we were ready to rock, with local band comma warming up. it was absolutely crazy, and only by change did the barricade in front of the stage not collapse completely. we had to prepare to stop the show mid-way by at the sight of security personnel struggeling to hold back the pressure of about 600 fans packing the floor. the promoters generously offered to take us out for a night on town, but less than half of our tour party had the energy to pass on a waiting hotel bed.
  
  saturday 14th
  
  show day 21. turkey - istanbul 2nd show ( sold out concert hall )
  
  in the name of a major religion i was awoken at 5am by shattering electronic play-back of prayer call from the most nearby moské. i should have closed the window last night, and now also realised that the had been rather cold outside. skip’ed breakfast and slept till past 10 before making my way to the local shopping district. our load-in was cancelled, and we had time off ‘till 14:00. due to the all ages show, we had to be on stage at 18:00 ( that’s 6 pm ) and with all gear on stage there was not much to do for the stage crew. local promoter had the barricade re-welded so it should be able to withstand another king diamond show. i had preparations for the forthcoming travel and shows on my mind, and the day went quickly by. the hall was once again loaded with fans (probably some from last night amonst them) and it was an equally agitated bunch of metal fans. we’re not in doubt; there’s a great opportunity to play here once again. following the show, we were once again in the situation of travel. to make the next trip we had flown two extra drivers (one for the bus and one for the truck) to istanbul – and as soon as the equipment was packed away in the truck, it was off for the longest trip on this tour – heading for biella outside torino – italy. band and crew managed to get a shower, and a hot dinner at the hotel before also heading out. as this is published we’re en-route istanbul – thessaloniki – igoumenitsa – (ferry to) bari and will eventually end up in the vicinity of torino.
