• dante'nin ilahi komedya araf'ta bahsettiği kitabı. la vita nuova=yeni hayat. dante o dönem henüz pek ünlenmemişti. dante'nin ünlenmesini sağlayan asıl eseri la divina commedia(ilahi komedya) 'dır. araf'ta la vita nuova'ya şöyle gönderme yapmaktadır:
  
  "ne olur söylesene, gördüğüm kişi 'ey sevdayı bilen kadınlar*' dizesiyle başlayan yeni akımı yaratan mı?"
  
  dedim ki:" ben o kişiyim ki, sevda esin verince kaleme sarılırım, onun yüreğime yazdıklarını aktarırım.
