• kisinin olumunu ifade etmek icin kullanildiginda kabaca algilanan soylem. bir yandan da "olumden sonra yasami" gozardi eder bir yaklasimla kullanildigi soylenir. onca yildir ingilizceyi gunluk hayatimin bir parcasi olarak kullanirim, ilk defa gecen gun uzunca bir sure londra yasami hintli bir arkadastan duydum "passed away" yerine kullanilisini. samimiyetle soyluyorum, "my father-in-law was expired some years ago" dedigi an yarilmamak icin kendimi zor tuttum. sanirsin ambalajla almislar, dondurucuya koymayi unutmuslar ve tarihi gecmis. kafamda bir plastik ambalaja sarili, tavuk budu gibi yatan bir adam; ve bu adami "ay bunun tarihi gecmis ieyyy : (((" diyerek cope atan baska insanlar canlandi. zor attim kendimi disari yarilmadan.
