• 1948 yılında belgesi olmayan göçmenleri kaliforniya'dan meksika'ya taşıyan uçak düşer ve 32 kişi hayatını kaybeder. haberlerde sadece 4 uçuş ekibinin ismi paylaşılır ve kalan 28 kişi sadece meksikalı deporteler olarak adlandırılır. bu üzücü olayın üzerine amerikan folk müziğinin ünlü isimlerinden woody guthrie, plane wreck at los gatos şiirini yazar. bu şiir ''deportee'' şarkısına dönüşür. bob dylan, johnny cash, bruce springsteen gibi birçok ünlü isim tarafından seslendirilmiştir.
