mezmerize hypnotize

• system of a down un 2005 içinde çıkacağını duyurduğu double album.. ilk olarak 17 mayıs 2005 te mezmerize, 2005 sonuna doğru ise hypnotize albumu raflardaki yerlerini alacakmış.
  system of a down wrote some thirty tracks for "mezmerize/hypnotize" and recorded them at producer rick rubin's laurel canyon studio between june and november of 2004. the album was produced by rubin malakian and daron malakian and mixed by andy wallace, who also mixed "toxicity" and "steal this album!" the new songs are more complex, more progressive, more unorthodox, and more experimental than ever, while retaining the idiosyncratic, ironic and schizophrenic qualities that make system of a down so distinctive. topics include relationships, the evils of television and corporate mind control, the mysteries of life and death, and a surreal experience at a celebrity baseball game. some of the song titles are "radio video," "old school hollywood," "cigaro," "lost in hollywood," "question," "vicinity of obscenity" and "revenga." the decision to release the two discs six months apart was made simply to give fans time to get into and really live with the music from disc one before plunging into disc two.

  mezmerize hakkkinda; "abi bu albüm cok iyi yaaa, simdi alti ay boyunca digerinin cikmasini biz nasil bekleyecegiz?" sorusunun üzerinden neredeyse onbes yil gecmis.
  
  albümler, grubun dördüncü ve besinci stüdyo albümleri olmakla beraber, hayranlariyla bulusan son albümler olma özelliklerini tasirlar.
  iki albümün kapak resimleri de, gitarist daron malakian´in babasi tarafindan tasarlanmislardir.
  
  bu cift albümde, tarz olarak pop´a bir tik yaklasmis olsalar da, üretim olarak zirveyi gördüklerini söylemek mümkün.
  vokalist serj tankian ve gitarist malakian´in vokal uyumlari, eski albümlere göre daha belirgin. tankian´in ortadogu/ arabesk girtlagi ile malakian´in ciliz ses tonu ve cigliklari uyumlu bir zitlik olusturmuslar. malakian´in gecmis albümlere göre daha fazla ve baskin vokal bölümleri gayet yerinde olmus bence.
  
  her iki albüm de icerik olarak bildigimiz soad: antimilitarizm, genocide, sert riffler ile yumusak melodilerin ahengi, politik sözler ile harmanlanmis cigliklar ve bögürtüler.
  ancak belirttigim gibi, sound olarak pop´a, yani mainstream´e bir tik daha yaklasmislar. siradan bir müziksever olarak bu farki teknik acidan aciklayamam, ancak toxicity ve steal this album ile kiyaslandiginda, mezmerize/ hypnotize´in kulaga daha "yumusak" geldigi asikar. neyseki bu hafif degisimin cercevesinde kaliteden ödün verilmemis.

  soad´dan beklenmeyecek düzeyde hüzünlendiren bir rock balladi.

  evet... soad tamamen dagilmadi ve ara ara yine bu cift albümdeki parcalar da dahil, eski parcalardan olusan setlistler ile konserler vermeye devam ediyorlar. madem onbes yildir hala beraber konser verecek kadar anlasiyorsunuz, bari yeni bir albümcük daha üretseniz?
