  1999 tarihli 19. bond filmi. yönetmeni michael apted. james bond rolünde 3. defa pierce brosnan var ve bu filmde gerçekten çok iyi bir performans gösteriyor. bence tüm seri içinde en iyi üç bond filmi arasına rahatlıkla girebilecek güçlü bir hikayeye dayalı ve çok iyi oyunculuklarla bezeli bir film. teröristlerce kaçırıldıktan sonra kimyası bozulan enerji prensesi elektra king rolünde sophie marceau ve dr. christmas jones rolünde denise richards filmin güzellik unsurları. seksapelitede richards ağır bassa da, marceau'nun asaleti ve saf güzelliği kimsede yok. q rolünde desmond llewelyn son kez seride yer alıyor ve yerini r rolündeki çırağı john cleese'e devrediyor. goldeneye ve tomorrow never dies'da yeterince başarılamayan ilk bond filmlerindeki karizmatik kötü adam, bu filmde fazlasıyla var. zira robert carlyle'ın başarıyla canlandırdığı rénard karakteri, hikayesi olan gerçek bir başdüşman ve filmi tek başına sırtlıyor. kafasındaki bir kurşun nedeniyle giderek hissizleşmesi ve elektra'nın kaçırıldıktan sonra renard ile stokholm sendromundan doğan garip bir aşk yaşaması gibi unsurlar hikayeyi daha da ilginç kılıyor. m rolünde judi dench bu filmde daha fazla sahnede ve hikayenin merkezinde yer alıyor. goldeneye'da da yer alan valentin dmitrovich zukovsky karakteri yine robbie coltrane tarafından canlandırılıyor ve filme renk katıyor. enerji politikaları ve boru hatları diplomasisi gibi güncel sorunlara değinmesi ve istanbul ve bakü gibi türkler açısından özel iki kentte geçmesi nedeniyle bizi daha da heyecanlandıran bir film. en başlardaki sürat motoru kovalama sahnesinden başlayarak temposu hiç düşmeyen güzel kotarılmış bir film. filmin sonlarına doğru bazı bond filmlerinde daha önce olduğu gibi (örneğin a view to a kill) filmin adının geçtiği bir replik de yaşanıyor; elektra'nın "i can give you the world" sözüne bond'un cevabı ise "the world is not enough" şeklinde oluyor. soundtrack parçası da garbage'dan filmle aynı adı taşıyan mükemmel parça. buradan izlenebilir; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paxc_stpky0
