• richard rodgers tarafından bestelenen ve sözleri oscar hammerstein ii'ye ait olan 1945 tarihli şarkı. aynı yıl sahnelenen carousel müzikali için yazılmış ve bu müzikalde ilk kez john raitt tarafından seslendirilmiştir. sözleri şöyledir;

  en meşhur soliloquy örneği shakespearein hamlet eserinin 3. perdesinin 1. sahnesinde geçen "to be or not to be..." repliğidir. burada yaklaşık 1 sayfa kadar laf var ve hamlet karakteri bunu tek başına söyler.
