• still life karakteri kırmızı elbiseli melinda'nın ve olay mahallerinden biri olan kırmızı gölün de kapak resminde bulunduğu yeni opeth albümü.
• gün geçmiyor ki albüm ile ilgili yeni haberler alalım efenim.
  
  finli bir dergi 5.1 versiyonunu dinlemiş ve çevirilebildiği kadarıyla notlar şöyle:
  
  -death metal ve brutal yok!
  -albüm yaklaşık 56 dakika uzunluğunda
  -dinleyici şu gruplardan esintiler görmüş:sabbath, beatles, jazz, king crimson, cream, rainbow, floyd, funk, purple, piirpauke, classical music, my dying bride, folk, love, jethro tull, maiden..
  -mikael "zaten 90'lardan beri death metalden sıkıldığını ve 20 yaşından beri bu tarz bir albüm yapmak istediğini" buyurmuş.

• ikinci bir damnation vakasi geliyor gibi.. opeth'in, "detciyiz abi biz" mantaliteli dar kafali hayranlari buyuk ihtimal bu albumu iti gotune sokacak ama zaten onlarin ne du$undugunu sikleyen de pek yok..
  
  akerfeldt, son roportajinda soyle diyor:
  
  "i never heard music like that. so i can’t compare it to other bands. if you want to compare it to another band it has to be us. but still, it’s different. for me it kind of makes sense because i’ve been doing this for such a long time. so it’s not a massive departure for me and for the guys in the band. but for fans, if they are, for example, into my arm your hearse it might be a bit different. but i’m hoping that a lot of people are ready for this type of album from us."
  
  "the music is all over the place. it’s hard to define the album and say it sound like this or like that. there are no songs that represent more the album than any other songs. it’s an album as whole. you can’t listen to only one song and you’ll know what the album is going to be like. because like i said, it’s all over the place."

  "he was fired. but he was going to leave any ways because he wasn’t happy with us. it’s not like we weren’t friends but i don’t think he felt comfortable playing keyboards with this style of music. he’s more into blues/rock and things like that. he’s got a few projects that he’s been working on over the years. i think he feels more comfortable doing other form of music."
  
  "per wants to play guitar, sing and he wants to take care of the business side of things. he wants to run the ship, so to speak. there was no place to do that in opeth. he wasn’t confortable just playing my songs i guess. i don’t think he ever connected with the music that we do to the point where he felt that he belonged with us. he was always more interested in doing other things. i’m happy for him if he’s happy but he’s not with us anymore and i’m happy that he’s not with us anymore, based on the fact that he didn’t want to be with us"
• adam röportajında 'death metali bıraktım', 'artık brutal vokal içeren şeyler yapmak istemiyorum' derken hissettiğim şey evlat acısı gibiydi. opeth'in müziği her halükarda dinlenir tabii ama metali de ayrı metaldi be abi. artık yer yüzünde yeni opeth metali olmayacak olmasını düşünmek dehşet verici. umarım bişeylere kızıp yine death müzikleri serpiştirir aralara..
• "martin lopez ftw rererö" gibi geyiklere girmekten çok hoslanmasam da "ah be nerelerdesin martin?" lafini bolca dedirtecek bir album olacagini simdiden soyleyebilirim. ilk sizan sarki olan the devil's orchard'i dinleyince lopez'in narin ve ince dokunuslarini, progressive ve jazz'a hakim teknigini en iyi dokturecegi album olabilecegi asikarken yazik olacak hem lopez'e hem de heritage'a.
  
  albumu dinledikten sonra gelen edit: axe partisyon acisindan bakildiginda entrymde belirttiklerimi bana yedirdi ancak tuşe açısından bakarsam da beni hakli cikardi. bu tarz muzik icin çok makine gibi ve ruhsuz bir tuşesi var kanimca. ama yine de beklentilerimin çok uzerinde bir performans sergilemis.
• beni watershed bağımlılığından kurtaracak albüm olacak sanırım.

• inanılmaz doygun tonlara sahip gibson parçalarının kullanıldığı özellikle hafif gitar markası.
• sanki caz ağırlıklı gibi, ya da bana öyle geliyor. umarım öyledir. the devil's orchard öyle çünkü.
