  klibinde^* 1. dünya savaşından bir cephe görürüz, savaş olanca hızıyla devam etmektedir. o cephede ateşkes olmuştur ve taraflar tedirgin bir şekilde siperlerinde beklemekte, kimisi sigara içmekte kimisi silahını temizlemektedir. birden ortaya bir futbol topu atılır, kısa bir duraksamadan sonra birdenbire iki tarafın siperlerinden üçer beşer askerler fırlar, topun peşinde koşturmaya başlarlar! evet, aniden ortalık bir panayır yerine döner, gencecik çocuklar -ne de olsa savaşa gelmek için daha iki üç hafta önce okullarını bırakan çocuklardır bunlar- oraya buraya koşturmakta, kimisi futbol oynamakta, kimi diğerleri ile tanışıp tütünlerini ve içkilerini birbirleri ile paylaşmaktadır, sevgililerinin resimlerini birbirlerine göstermektedir. garip bir duygudur ama sonuçta bütün bu savaşan askerler aslında birer çocuktur, erkek ama yine de insan ve ne kadar büyürse büyüsün, çocuk! sonuçta birbirlerini öldürmektense futbol topunun peşinde koşup eğlenmek daha güzeldir elbette!
  
  ve birden bire sahanın ortasında düşen bir top mermisi ile bu parti sona erer. nerede olduklarının farkına varan askerler bir anda kendi cephelerine koştururlar, herşey ortada kalıverir ve savaş bütün karanlığı ile geri gelir yaşamlarına. cephesine çekilen bir asker, elinde kalan diğerinin sevgilisinin fotografına bakmaktadır...
