• malesef hakettigi kadar populer olamamis, muhtesem bir marilyn manson sarkisi, kesinlikle en iyilerinden.
• marilyn manson'ın "the golden age of grotesque" albümündeki çok sevdiğim 'sanatsal' şarkılarından biri. bu şarkı için "sanatsal" kelimesini kullanasım geliyor. şizofrenik, kirli bir müziğin üzerine şizofrenik, kirli bir vokal; alttan "dan! dan!" diye vuran ritmler.. çok yaratıcı bulduğum bir beste.

• hakkında bu kadar az entry girildiğine şaşıp kaldığım, marilyn manson albümü. 90 lı yılları 2000 lere bağlayan bir köprü gibidir, marilyn manson un opus magnumudur. gece saat 12 den sonra alkol etkisi altında dinlenmesi önerilmez...
• bu kadar az yazılmış olmasına şaşırdım. oysa ki mobscene şarkı ve klibi tv'lerde baya bir dönmüş ve popüler olmuştu.
  
  albümün erası gerçekten çok emek harcanmış era idi. helnwein sanatsal tasarımı üstlenmişti. müzikal olarak manson işlerinin gerisinde gibi görünse de bir kaç dinlemeden sonra muhteşem bir atmosfere sahip olduğu görülebilir.
  
  30'ların nazi estetiği, varyeteler, vodviller ve tüm bu toplamın karanlık yüzünden bir konsept üretilmişti. bu albümle birlikte tim skold'la iş birliği yapılmıştı, skold bence müzikal anlamda katkı sağlayamadı. john 5 olmasa sağlam riff'ler yine olmayacaktı.
  
  ancak dönemin konserleri pek iyi değildir. manson beyin sesi bu dönemde çok kötüydü. john 5 ile kavganın döndüğü meşhur rock am ring performasında mesela vokalinin ne kadar siki tutmuş olduğunu görebiliriz. ha sonradan toparladı o ayrı.
  
  ayrıca bence albmünün en güzel parçası olan `(s)aınt`'e asia argento tarafından nefis bir video çekilmişti.
