  516.000 dolares bütçeli yapım gişede 7.425.963'lük bir performans sergilemiş ki samimi ve yalın yapısı ile bunu hak ediyor. genel olarak tempo düşük fakat seyri akıcı. yaşlılık temalı filmler arasında güzel bir yer edindiği kesin.
  
  oyunculularda ise blythe danner sade ama gerçekçi performansı ile kusursuzdu. tanıdık "cowboy"; iki altın küre adaylığı da bulunan sam elliott ise nispeten az görünse de güzeldi.
  
  seyirciyi "kendi" hayatı ve gelecek konusunda düşünmeye de sevk eden seyirlik bir drama olarak tanımlayabilir ve önerebiliriz.

  şarkının sözleri o kadar güzel ki; insan bir yandan kaybettiklerini düşünüp hüzünleniyor diğer yandan "for death is not the end and i'll see you in my dreams / we'll meet and live and love again" dizeleri ve müziğin ahengiyle biraz olsun umutlu hissediyor.
