• unicef türkiyenin sokak çocukları yararına başlattığı kampanyanın adı. üzerinde for tomorrow yazan bilekliklerden en az 2 ytl bağış yapan herkese veriliyor sanırım. hedef 1 milyon bileklikmiş. turkcellden 3005e adınızı soyadınızı ve adresinizi kısa mesaj olarak göndererek 20 ytl bağış yapabiliyorsunuz ve karşılığında 10 bileklik adresinize gönderiliyormuş.

• unicef desteğiyle, içişleri bakanlığı, adalet bakanlığı, kadın ve çocuktan sorumlu devlet bakanlığı gibi ilgili bakanlıklar ve kuruluşlar tarafından yürütülecek olan sokakta yaşayan ve çalıştırılan çocuklara yönelik proje, toplam 8 ilde uygulamaya konulacaktır.
• britanyanın köpeğiyim ondan ingilizce yazıyorum demeye getiren yardım kampanyası adı. dolapdereye ücretsiz toplu konut yapacaklarını bilsem yine de bu isimdeki kampanyaya 5 kuruş vermem.^*(bkz: seni kınıyorum ve sana laflar hazırladım)
• dile dolanan blur şarkısı, özellikle de la la la kısmı. ilk kez 15 aralık 2010'da odtü çatı'da dinlemişim -dimlemişim diyorum çünkü o zaman adını bilmiyordum- bu şarkıyı. ortam çok gürültü olduğu için sözleri pek anlamadım, ama belki şarkıyı daha sonra bulurum diye o belli belirsiz boğuk sesi cep telefonuma kaydetmiştim. daha sonrasında kaydı dinledim, anayabildiğim kadarıyla sözleri google'a yazdım, ııh olmadı, la la la bile yazdım google'a sözlük, bildiğin baya baya günlerce aradım bu şarkıyı. internetteki bir kaç şarkı dinleyip şarkı bulan programa dinlettim kaydı yine olmadı. neyse işte aradan epey bir zaman geçti, shazam'ı öğrendim ipod'uma indirdim (tarih olmuş 17 haziran 2012). ulan böyle bir kayıt vardı bende dur bakalım şunu bulabilecek mi diye zamanında kaydettiğim belli belirsiz sesi dinlettim programa, ilk seferde buldu, blur - for tomorrow dedi.
• blur'un müzik olarak başarınının ilk adımlarını attığı şarkı olarak değerlendirebilecek eşsiz şarkı. modern life is rubbish albumunun tamamlanmasından sonra, yapımcıların bu albümde hit yok demesi üzerine tekrar studyo'ya kapanan blur bu şarkıyı yazıp albümü çıkartmıştır. iyi ki böyle bir olay yaşanmış.
  
  felaket dile takılan bu şarkının en güzel yeri kanımca sondaki la la la eşliğinde albarn'ın anlattığı hikayedir. şarkı sanki orada kırılıp, boyut değiştiriyor. boyutu şu örnekle açıklayabiliriz tahminimce. avustralyalı bir çift 1993 yılında bu şarkıdan etkilenip primrose hill'e çıkıp, çıkılan asfalt yola "and the view is so nice" yazar. ilginçtir yazı hala muhafaza edilmekte tepeye çıkarken...

• blur'un 1993 çıkışlı ikinci stüdyo albümü modern life is rubbish albümünün açılış şarkısı ve albümden yayınlanmış ilk single'dır. aynı zamanda bu çalışmadaki en başarılı parça olarak kabul edilmektedir.
